President's Page
Our mission is clear — to 'clean up' the Internet harnessing the power of consumer education and web-merchant accountability. The highly-unique HONESTe Online WebSeal excels at both. At HONESTe Online, we believe the educated consumer makes the best Internet 'fraud fighter.' Many of today's scams and cons can be avoided with a little 'dose' preventative knowledge... we provide that dose. HONESTe Online's success has much to do with keeping things
simple. We use the "KISS" principle as our guide: "Keep
It Simple Stupid." We lead by example: Our dedication to providing superior customer service is a standard I've set for our members to follow. If you've had the chance to look over the HONESTe Online home page, I think it becomes obvious I'm an avid marketer, enthusiastic entreprenuer, and I try to mix in some fun where ever possible. HONESTe Online would probably not exist if it weren't for a few special people. I'd like to thank each of them right now. Some of their names you may be familiar with... Melvin Powers: Founder of the Wilshire Book Company, mpowers.com. Melvin is known as, "The Dean of Mail Order" and the "Man With The Midas Touch." Thank you Melvin for all of your words of wisdom and years of mentoring. You are the reason my fascination with Direct Marketing and Mail Order took hold at such an early age. You've had an incredible impact on my life and career. Yanik Silver: President of Surefiremarketing, Inc., surefiremarketing.com. Yanik, thank you for consistently reminding me back in 1999 and early 2000 that I needed to take the leap to e-commerce. You finally convinced me that with my Direct Marketing and Copywriting background I had 95% of the tools for success, and that the technical aspects could be hired out. Boy were you right! Thanks for being a good friend and steering me onto the Information Superhighway "way back when..." The late, great Corey Rudl: In 1999, I was fortunate enough to find the Internet Marketing Center and marketingtips.com online. I proceeded to print out every single back issue of Corey Rudl's free "Marketing Tips Newsletter." These included dozens of issues dating back to 1996. I three-hole punched the newsletters, put them in a binder and took them on vacation. That summer, while relaxing on the beaches of Catalina Island, I devoured every last word of Corey's newsletters. I learned more from those free newsletters than most of the Internet marketing education I would pay for in the coming years combined. Corey Rudl was a brilliant marketer, a man of passion and action. You knew for certain that he loved teaching and helping others succeed. Recently, I had the pleasure of meeting Derek Gehl, Corey's right-hand man and new President of the "Internet Marketing Center." Rest assured it's in extremely good hands and Corey is beaming down from above. Thank you Corey Rudl, you were special guy and we miss you. My Mother: One of the most talented writers I know. Thanks for all of your encouragement and for all of your editing and grammar jobs! I wouldn't be half the copywriter without you. I love you. Nick Smith: Thank you Nick, I'm so glad Yanik recommended instantsupersites.com years ago, you are simply the best "geek" online and a great friend. Robert Johnsen: Thank you Rob, you've impressed the heck out of me. Outstanding job! Finally, thanks to you. We appreciate all of our HONESTe Online members and are committed to providing you with the best service possible. If you're not already a HONESTe Online member, I invite you to check us out. I sincerely believe you'll be glad you did. Warmest regards,
